ABOUT THE PROJECT

We live in a time where everything is digital, design is screen-based, where fonts are downloaded instantly. Moreover, we live in a time where AI is booming and can generate type, layout, and design in a few seconds. Creativity is becoming automated and detached from the “physical experience”. As everything becomes automated and more people lean and try “AI-generated” art and design, we risk losing our creativity and our sensitivity to the physical world as a source of inspiration and meaning.

My zine, “Anything Can Be Type” is meant to be a reminder that type and design is not limited and confined to screens or software, it exists in our environments, our home, the things that surround us. The project focuses on using my surroundings and the objects I use daily as design assets.
